Whether you are a parent considering orthodontist treatment for yourself, or seeking care for your child, we welcome you to discuss your concerns and desires with Dr. Hardyk at a consultation. Please contact our office to set up an appointment.
Once Dr. Hardyk assesses your situation, he can provide orthodontic and dental recommendations to ensure you are on a path to your most confident and healthiest smile.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first see an orthodontist at the age of 7 in order to check that their bones and teeth are developing correctly. Recognizing problems and addressing them early can often keep a small problem from developing into a large one. If no early problems are present, orthodontic treatment can begin when the majority of baby teeth have been lost, usually around age 11-14. Dr. Hardyk will provide a thorough and honest assessment of each unique situation, and develop an appropriate plan accordingly.
If your child is not yet ready for orthodontic care, we will continue to evaluate your child at intervals of six to twelve months until treatment is required.
The consultation will take about an hour. We will have you fill out paperwork about your dental history, and process your insurance information in order to understand your coverage.
...Dr. Hardyk will take digital photos of your teeth and throughly inspect your mouth, teeth and jaw. Using the photos as a guide, he will show you how treatment will better align your teeth, and fix any orthodontic problems that you may have. Dr. Hardyk will answer any questions that you might have.
Our program coordinator will then explain the various treatment options for you, including the pros and cons of metal braces, clear braces and Invisalign retainers. We want to help you find the treatment solution that is best fitted to your style-of-life.
At this time, we will also provide you with a detailed financial plan, including various options for down payments, so that you can make a fully-informed decision on proceeding forward with orthodontic care.
